Katharine E. Watkins, MPA

Katharine E. Watkins, MPA, is a 2015 alumnus of the College of Charleston. Katharine received her bachelor's degree in Finance with a minor in Hospitality and Tourism. She obtained her Masters in Public Administration with honors from the College of Charleston in 2021. Katharine started working for the Town in January 2025. Katharine worked for the City of Folly Beach from May 2015 to June 2021, where she was the Administrative Assistant and then promoted to Municipal Clerk. From there, Katharine worked for the Town of Seabrook Island from July 2021 to December 2024, starting as the Town Clerk/Treasurer and then being promoted to Assistant Town Administrator. In her career in municipal government, her areas of expertise include but are not limited to finance and procurement, FOIA compliance, human resources, IT implementation, strategic planning, building, zoning, utilities, and public works. In her spare time, Katharine enjoys cooking, traveling with friends and family, taking long walks with her dog, Guinness, and so much more. ​
