Mr. Penninger was elected to Town Council in 2013 and chairs the Roads and Ditches Committee for the Town. Mr. Penninger attended Wando High School and studied at the College of Charleston.  He is a professional Construction Inspector and worked for many years at Charleston County and S.C. Department of Transportation in that capacity.  Mr. Penninger is a co-owner of Seewee Restaurant where he is the general manager.

Mr. Penninger is a lifelong resident of Awendaw and is married to Stephanie Lou Penninger.   He is a member of Ocean Grove Methodist Church.  He is also a member of the Etiwan Lodge and Master Mason III Degree.
