Ordinance 2026-01

The Town Council of Awendaw, South Carolina, will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 9:00AM at Town Hall located at 6971 Doar Road, Awendaw, SC 29429, on the following ordinance:
  • Ordinance 2026-01: An ordinance to amend Chapter 153, Zoning Code, Section 153.010 of the Code of the Town of Awendaw, South Carolina, imposing a temporary moratorium on the issuance of all residential and commercial zone change proposals (rezonings) and subdivisions of residentially zoned land (subdivision plat approvals) comprising more than five parcels of land for the purpose of providing town council with time to adopt the pending comprehensive plan update and to implement any necessary changes to the zoning ordinance, land use regulations, and/or comprehensive plan now under review.
