Winter Weather Update #1

The National Weather Service in Charleston anticipates the Awendaw McClellanville area will see at least 4"-6", potentially more, starting Saturday Evening through Sunday Morning. An Extreme Cold Warning will be issued for our area Saturday Night to Sunday Morning, as the windchill will make temperatures feel in the single digits. There is an anticipated Cold Weather Advisory for Sunday Night to Monday Morning, as the windchill will make temperatures feel in the teens.

​Do not travel unless you must, as there is an increased risk of black ice on the roadways.

To reduce the risk of pipes freezing or bursting, we ask that you set your faucets to a small drip, especially overnight.
