According to the National Weather Service, Charleston County is currently experiencing severe drought conditions. A map of these conditions is available here: Charleston County, SC | U.S. Drought Monitor. During this period, we ask all water customers with irrigation systems to reduce the duration and frequency of use. Please irrigate your yard only once a week, for a maximum of 1 hour. This will increase the time water spends in contact with the town's treatment and should improve conditions starting next week.
Staff have been logging every water complaint received from the town's water operator. If you would like to make a complaint, please call Town Hall or email the Town Administrator: [email protected]. While an immediate response may not be possible, all complaints are being addressed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. The town is dedicated to the continual improvement of our system and the services we provide.
